Working principle of spiral classifier

Author:

The working principle of the screw classifier is based on the movement of the material on the screw conveyor and the centrifugal force and gravity. As the materials enter the spiral classifier, they are conveyed to the screw blades of the screw. The rotation of the spiral blade will cause the material to accelerate along the direction of the spiral axis, forming a certain angle. At the same time, gravity will cause the particles to fall, and the centrifugal force will cause the particles to move outward. Due to the different density and size of different particles, their movement speed and trajectory are also different.
Inside the spiral classifier, the material will be classified according to different densities and sizes. Relatively heavy particles are subjected to greater centrifugal force to the outside and move farther, while relatively light particles are closer to the screw axis and are transported to a higher position. In this way, the material can be separated and classified at different levels, and the particles can be classified.
Spiral classifiers are widely used in the separation and screening of granular materials, such as in mines, chemicals, building materials and other fields. Its working principle is simple and efficient, and it is a common particle classification equipment, which provides convenience for industrial production.
