Working principle of ball mill

Author:

Ball mill is a kind of commonly used grinding mechanical equipment, its main working principle is to use the grinding block or grinding ball in the rotating cylinder to grind the raw materials. The ball mill is usually composed of a horizontal rotating cylinder, a feed port, a discharge port and a transmission system.
When the ball mill is working, the raw material is added to the rotating cylinder through the feed port. With the rotation of the cylinder, the grinding block or grinding ball moves at high speed in the cylinder. The raw materials are continuously subjected to friction, impact and shear force in the cylinder, and are gradually ground into fine powder materials with the required particle size. Finally, the powdery material is discharged through the discharge port, and the ball mill also discharges a part of the grinding balls.
The working principle of the ball mill can be roughly divided into two stages: the initial crushing stage and the refinement stage. In the initial crushing stage, the raw material is crushed rapidly after being impacted and impacted by the grinding block or ball, while in the refinement stage, the raw material is gradually ground into the required fine powder state. Ball mill is widely used in mining, metallurgy, chemical industry and other industries, and plays a key role in grinding various materials.
In general, the ball mill achieves the purpose of grinding raw materials through the friction and impact of the grinding block or ball in the cylinder, and is an efficient grinding equipment.
