Working principle of disc granulator

Author:

A disc granulator is a device that uses a high-speed rotating disc to complete the particle preparation process. Its working principle mainly includes several key steps such as material feeding, powder wet granulation, particle forming and drying.
First, the powder material to be made into granules is introduced into the disc granulator through the material inlet, and a certain proportion of wetting agent is added. With the high-speed rotation of the disc, the material is subjected to centrifugal force outward diffusion, and gradually form a layer of granular, while the wetting agent will bond the powder particles together.
Subsequently, the particles are subject to constant collision and rolling, making the formed particles more uniform and dense. In this process, the amount of wetting agent added and the particle size can be adjusted as needed to control the particle quality.
Finally, the formed particles are discharged through the discharge port at the bottom of the disc granulator equipment, and are dried to ensure that the particles have a certain hardness and wear resistance. The whole granulation process is efficient and stable, and is suitable for granulation preparation of different materials.
In general, the disc granulator realizes the process of quickly and evenly making powdery materials into granules through its unique working principle, which provides important preparation process support for the production of various industries.
