Overview of the structure and working principle of cement rotary kiln

The cylinder of the rotary kiln is made of steel plate rolled.The cylinder body is inlaid with refractory bricks, and the inclination angle between the cylinder body and the horizontal plane is 3.5%, and it is supported by 3 wheel belts on the 3-speed support device.The cylinder body is fixed with a large ring gear under the belt near the feeding end wheel, and there is a pinion gear under it that engages with it, and the pinion gear is connected to a set of transmission devices to drive the rotary kiln.

The raw material powder enters the kiln from the high-end of the cylinder from the tail smoke chamber of the kiln for calcination. Due to the tilt and slow rotation of the cylinder, the material will produce a comprehensive movement that rolls along the circumference and moves axially from the high-end to the low-end. The decomposition, firing and cooling processes are completed in the kiln, and after the cement clinker is fired, it enters the cooling machine.

The fuel is discharged from the tail of the kiln into the smoke chamber after the heat exchange between the exhaust gas burned by the burner in the kiln and the material is completed. Compared with the general rotary kiln, this rotary kiln mainly has the following characteristics in terms of structure：

1. The cylinder body is made of steel plate rolled, all of which are made of automatic welding or manual welding. The wall thickness of the cylinder body is generally composed of reinforced sections, excessive sections and ordinary sections. The structure of equal strength and equal life.The lower part of the wheel belt is a reinforced section, which can ensure that the cylinder has good rigidity.At the discharge end of the cylinder, a kiln mouth guard plate with high temperature resistance and wear resistance is installed, and cold air is blown to it by the nozzle to cool it, so as to ensure that the kiln discharge port can work for a long time and reduce maintenance time.There are three box-shaped wheel belts on the cylinder body. The gap between the wheel belt and the backing plate is determined by the amount of thermal expansion, so that the cylinder body is thermally expanded when the kiln is running. The rear wheel belt is tightly hooped on the cylinder body, which increases the rigidity of the cylinder body.

2. The support device adopts a strong retaining wheel, which is sufficient to withstand the sliding force of the rotary kiln.The retaining wheel can rotate around the shaft on its retaining wheel seat to ensure that the working surface of the retaining wheel is in close contact with the side surface of the wheel belt, which can reduce the wear on the surface of the retaining wheel.

3. The transmission system adopts unilateral transmission, and according to user requirements, it is driven by an AC motor.Rubber block coupling is used to improve the smoothness of the transmission.An auxiliary transmission device is provided to ensure that the kiln can still be operated when the main power supply is interrupted, prevent the cylinder from bending and facilitate maintenance.

4. The kiln head and kiln tail seals are respectively axial contact labyrinth type or fish scale type sealing device, and friction sealing device. The kiln head seal blows in an appropriate amount of cold air from the nozzle position in order to cool the kiln head guard plate.In order to improve the service life, manual dry oil lubrication is used between the friction rings at the end of the kiln.

5. The fixed kiln hood is equipped with two movable kiln doors, which greatly facilitates maintenance work.

The kiln head cover is relatively large, so the wind speed in the kiln head is relatively low, which itself acts as a dust chamber.
