Cement mill is one of the key equipment on the cement production line. Its main function is to grind cement clinker into fine powder suitable for cement production. The working principle of the cement mill can be simply described as the three main steps of grinding, classification and collection.
First, the clinker enters the interior of the mill body through the feed port of the cement mill. The clinker collides and grinds with the grinding media (usually steel balls) inside the cement mill, and is gradually ground into fine particles. In the process of grinding, the particles of clinker gradually become smaller and the surface area gradually increases, which is conducive to the hydration reaction of cement clinker.
Next, the ground cement clinker enters the classification mechanism. The classification mechanism classifications the mineral powder according to the size and density of the particles, and returns the coarse particles that do not meet the requirements to the mill for re-grinding, while the fine particles that meet the requirements continue to flow downward.
Finally, the classified fine powder is collected by a dust collector to ensure a clean production environment and recover the dust generated by the cement mill. After these three steps, the cement mill can grind the clinker into fine powder to meet the needs of cement production.
