Flotation machine is a kind of equipment that uses the buoyancy difference of ore and impurities in water to separate. Its working principle mainly has the following steps
First, the ore and impurities are crushed and added to the flotation tank, and a certain amount of air or other gas is injected into the tank. Subsequently, the tank is equipped with an impeller or stirrer to stir, so that the ore and impurities are mixed evenly.
Then, the slurry inlet on the flotation machine is opened, and the suspension containing ore and impurities is allowed to flow from the slurry inlet into the flotation cell. Under the action of stirring, the ore particles come into contact with the bubbles, and the bubbles adhere to the ore particles by adsorption on the surface of the ore particles.
Subsequently, according to the density difference between ore and impurities, some ore particles float due to bubbles to form ore bubble layer, while impurity particles sink to the bottom to form tailings layer. Finally, the operating conditions of the flotation machine are adjusted by the corresponding control device to separate the ore frothing layer and the tailings layer to complete the separation of ore and impurities.
In general, the flotation machine uses the adsorption of bubbles and ore particles and the principle of buoyancy to achieve an effective separation of ore and impurities. This working principle plays an important role in the mine refining process, helping to improve the ore grade and recovery rate.
