The combined separator is mainly used as a classification equipment in the closed-circuit system of raw material grinding in cement plants, and can also be used as a classification equipment for other non-metallic ore powders.

The materials entering the classifier are composed of two parts. Most of the materials are fed through the feeding port. The materials are divided into 4 paths through the material dividing slide 1 and are respectively fed to the material distribution plate 4 on the top of the rotor 5 at 4 points. With the rotation of the rotor 5, the material distribution plate throws the materials falling on it around and falls into the sorting area after hitting the wall. Under the combined action of the sorting airflow and the rotation of the rotor, sorting of materials. Qualified materials enter the rotor with the air flow, enter the cyclone cylinder 13 through the air outlet 3, collect the finished materials by the cyclone cylinder, and discharge through the outlet 12; the exhaust gas enters the system dust collector through the outlet 14 at the top of the cyclone cylinder. Unqualified materials are collected by the inner cone 7 of the powder separator, enter between the inner and outer cones through the annular outlet between the inner cone and the counterattack cone 9, and the coarse powder (unqualified materials) is discharged by the return port 11 through the re-cleaning of the rising air flow. Another part of the material is entrained by the air flow and enters the powder separator through the air inlet 10. First, it hits the counter-attack cone and is forced to change its direction. At the same time, the air flow speed decreases rapidly. At this time, the material with larger particle size loses its kinetic energy and falls into the coarse powder. The rest continues to rise and enters the sorting area through the guide vane 6 for sorting again.
