Mixer is a mechanical equipment that uses mechanical force and gravity to mix two or more materials evenly. In the process of mixing, the material contact surface area can also be increased to promote chemical reactions; it can also accelerate physical changes.

Working principle

(1) Due to the revolution of the double helix, the powder particles operate around the cone wall.

(2) due to the autobiography of the spiral blade, the powder is discharged to the center of the cone for radial movement.

(3) The powder flows upward from the bottom of the cone and is discharged to the outer surface of the spiral to mix the materials.

(4) The downward flow of powder particles caused by the rotation of the spiral is due to the combination of the revolution and rotation of the spiral in the mixer, forming four flow forms of the powder: the complex movement of convection, shear, diffusion and infiltration. Therefore, the powder can be rapidly and uniformly mixed in the mixer.

Mixer accessories are mainly made of wear-resistant alloy materials, including high-speed stirring scraper, stirring wing, wear-resistant liner, stirring arm, stirring shovel, planetary shovel, stirring plow blade, stirring rod, stirring rake, etc. Mixing machinery for medium and high viscosity liquids and pastes generally has a strong shearing effect. Thermoplastic material mixing machinery is mainly used for mixing thermoplastic materials (such as rubber and plastics) with additives; powder, granular solid material mixing machinery for intermittent operation, including both mixing and grinding machinery, such as wheel rolling machine. The moving parts of the mechanical stirrer also produce shearing effects on the liquid when it rotates. The liquid is also subjected to shearing effects when it flows through the wall and various fixed components installed in the container. These shearing effects will cause many local eddy currents. Diffusion. For liquids of different density, composition, and immiscible with each other, the shear effect and strong turbulence generated by stirring will tear the dense liquid into small droplets and disperse them evenly into the main liquid.
